Setting objectives, requirements via REST-API

Hallo,

I am currently using the REST-API to create courses from an external source.

Currently there does not seem to be any way to set objectives and requirements when adding or updating courses.

Did I miss something, or would I have to change these fields in the database?

Hi Daniel

Unfortunately this is true a the moment. Why? Because nobody used it so far (and the objectives and requirement field have been added later on where the corresponding web service did already exist.

Maybe we find some time and add it to the next release.

Right now there is no way to do this via REST API, you need to extend the API or change it in the database (not recommended since this can lead to stale object problems).

Hi

I enhance the PUT method repo/course?title=... with more parameters for metadata (objectives, requirements, credits and expenditureOfWork) for OpenOLAT 13.2.6. This method can I change without breaking some running clients. Hope it help.
