Hi Team,

Page : Group
Login : Admin

Steps :
1.Navigate to Group Tab
2.Go to My groups on the left panel
3.Click on create group
4.Enter mandate details of the group and enter the maximum no of participants
5.Click on Finish

Issue : You are able to add participants greater than the maximum no of participants specified.

Expected : It should not allow to add participants greater than the maximum no of participants specified. It should throw an error message.

Is there any solution provided in 9.4 version? can you pls reply on trhis

Hi

As group owner or administrator you can add more user than the max configuration. This is intended, you are the owner of the group anyway. The max participants flag is only for groups which have a booking method or are used with the enrollment process. In those workflows the field is checke and users are put on the waiting list if enabled.

Hi Florian,

 

we created a group using the enrollment process and assigned max no. of participants as 5 along with waiting list. Added 5 participants to the group and when we tried to add the 6th participant it is still letting me add him to the group without giving any error. kindly suggest on this.

When you use the course element “enrollment” and you configure your group with a max participant number, then users can not enroll to that group once the number is reached. As course admin you can always overrule this setting and still add additional users.
