LDAP integration in openolat

Hi,

Please let me know how Lightweight Directory Access Protocol(LDAP) functionality is using inside the openolat.
And also what are the parts where LDAP is using?

Hi Ashish

You can use fulltext search in your IDE and you will quickly find the relevant parts. Look for the LDAP module. Use the debugger and have a look at the spring configuration you find in the same package to learn more about the LDAP functionality.

To enable the LDAP functionality we need LDAP server to configure the user details.
Please let me know which LDAP server(Version Details) is using for openolat.

1- Is there any help document for openolat LDAP configuration ?
2-How data is maintaining using LDAP repository . Do we have any scripts for the same?

Hi Ashish

OpenOLAT does not act as LDAP server, it acts as an LDAP client. You have to setup an LDAP server yourself, e.g. MS Active Directory or OpenLDAP. 

The LDAP configuration is well documented and pretty self explanatory in the olat.properties and the /src/main/java/org/olat/ldap/_spring/ldapContext.xml configuration files.

Hi Abhishek

It really depends on what you want to integrate. OpenOLAT has a REST API that you can use to build custom integrations. We also have oAUTH2, LDAP and Shibboleth login modules that you can use to integrate OpenOLAT in your PHP website for single-sign-on or sigle-password and user management. Or your could use IMS LTI to integrate your PHP app as a learning tool into an OpenOLAT course. 

There is no simple answer.
