Hey guys,

i have a problem. I followed the Ubuntu 10.04 Installation How-To, but in the end red5 is not running.

When I try to run it manually i get this :

sh /opt/red5/red5.sh
Running on  Linux
Starting Red5
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org.red5.server.Bootstrap
   at gnu.java.lang.MainThread.run(libgcj.so.10)
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.red5.server.Bootstrap not found in gnu.gcj.runtime.SystemClassLoader{urls=[file:./], parent=gnu.gcj.runtime.ExtensionClassLoader{urls=[], parent=null}}
   at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(libgcj.so.10)
   at gnu.gcj.runtime.SystemClassLoader.findClass(libgcj.so.10)
   at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(libgcj.so.10)
   at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(libgcj.so.10)
   at gnu.java.lang.MainThread.run(libgcj.so.10)

Some ideas ?

Greetz

Hi Sebastian - have you configure your ubuntu to use the latest java?

Check which java you are running

at the prompt type: which java

try sudo update-alternatives --config java

I had lots of issue until I set the correct version.
