OpenHIE 101: OpenHIM Mediator Development 101 (Jembi Health Systems)
The OpenHIM is an open source software application and OpenHIE Interoperability Layer reference technology, designed to enable easier interoperability between disparate information systems by connecting infrastructure and registry services and client applications together. The OpenHIM provides a framework for the development and use of mediation services (or mediators) to transform incoming and outgoing messages to a form that other system components expect, and to support business logic by orchestrating transaction flows.
With support from Digital Square, Jembi Health Systems has been working on a set of tutorials and bootstrap mediators designed to reduce the learning curve for users to get up and running with the OpenHIM, and to start developing custom mediators to support their own interoperability needs. On this call, Jembi will present an overview of the set of tutorials that have been developed and how the bootstrap mediators can be leveraged.
