PHD2 version 2.6.0 is now available for download at http://openphdguiding.org/

If you have been using the development snapshot builds, v2.6.0 is essentially equivalent to 2.5.0dev9.  If you have been using 2.5.0 you will see lots of improvements in PHD2:
  • An updated user interface with new graphics and icons and a redesigned Advanced Dialog (Brain)
  • Guiding improvements
    • Declination backlash measurement and dynamic backlash compensation
    • Refined SNR calculation
    • Better detection of saturated stars
  • An improved Guiding Assistant
  • Improved Star Profile display showing Half Flux Diameter (HFD)
  • Binning support for SX, SBIG, ASCOM, INDI, and ZWO ASI cameras.
  • Logging and diagnostic improvements, better resiliency to camera disconnects
  • Numerous bug fixes throughout the program
  • Updated help files
  • Updated French, German, Japanese, Romanian, and Spanish and Traditional Chinese translations, and a new Norwegian translation
In v2.6.0 and later PHD2 logs are now always enabled; old guide logs are removed after 60 days, and debug logs after 30 days.

For a more complete list of changes, refer to the development snapshot build page.

PLEASE tell me that this version incorporates whatever code was used in the forked dev QHY test builds to mitigate timeouts with the QHY5L-II...

Sergio,

Sorry but no.  We are still waiting for an updated version of libraries from QHY.  You are welcome to continue using the QHY test builds if you find they are an improvement for you. The latest QHY test build, phd2-2.5.0dev8qhytest6-installer.exe, is derived from PHD2 v2.5.0dev8 which you can see from the development snapshots page is almost identical to 2.6.0 (which is essentially the same as 2.5.0dev9).

The Ubuntu ppa version is also updated to 2.6.0.

Be sure to upgrade to avoid the crash that affected some installation recently.
