VoIP Network and attacks

Dear Andras;All

I just came across Omnet++ and components.  My research at the university is mainly on VoIP networks and security.

Can anyone help me on the following:

I need to design VoIP systems with SIP proxy, routers, etc. 

I need to simulate attacks (DoS, DDoS flooding, others).

Can I do the 2 above using Omnet++.  If so, which components can I use to achieve the above and are there metrics?
