message exchange in omnet++, veins

Hello every one,
i am workin an a vanet simulation using veins, i use beacons to decide
about my one hops, and several other messages
for some other fuctions, howerver these other messages are not always
delivered to their recepients, i experiment with tha values
of maxOffset and some i see diffrences to the delivery ratio, i use
the default veins configuration,

any advice about messages over channels and why some of the messages
although within range are not delivered?

I'm guessing collisions.

A quick look at the MAC/PHY layer statistics on collisions should be
enough to prove or disprove this hypothesis...
