Error in importing veins2.1 in omnet++ 4.1

When I import the veins into omnetpp 4.1 I get the follow error "syntax error, unexpected XMLTYPE" in the line "xml annotations = xml("<annotations/>");" of the Annotations ned file.Can you help me please??

xml("...") is only supported since OMNeT++ 4.2 (see [1]).

You can find a complete list of requirements for Veins in the Veins
Tutorial [2].

Is there a way to use obstacles in omnet++ 4.1 version??I want 4.1 version of omnet++ for my thesis!!

If you want to stick with omnet 4.1 I think you are on your own. Nobody puts effort into backporting some code.

Generally it's much easier to forward port some code to work with omnet 4.3. i.e. why do you need omnet 4.1?

Because I want to connect an omnet++ 4.1 scenario with a VISSIM scenario and for this purpose i will use vsimrti and this one work only with omnet++4.1 version..Is for my thesis!!

Hmm, will look into this. I would say it is MUCH easier to forward port the omnetpp-federate to work with OMNeT++ 4.3 and Veins, than the other way...

I think it will be but I think that we can't present the inside of  a building with Veins, and that's one of my thesis target!!

hello...

i am going to develop vanet authentication mechanism....

I need a vanet simulator for developing.I have downloaded a vanet simulator omnet++4.3 and i have configured it....the problem is when i import the veins i am stuck at step 4

i am running this samples/dyna and other files but mingw command line gives an error while checking sumo is installed correctly or not.... can anyone help me .....?????
