jdk8 is a long term release that is planned to be updated in this
project until June 2023.

This release contains changes from October 2018 CPU [1].

MSI installer in this release has an optional support for *.jar
association to run *.jar files directly from Windows Explorer with a
double-click or from a right-click menu. See this issue [2] for details.

Note, that WebStart file associations for *.jnlp files and jnlp://
protocol are moved to the separate installer option ("false" by default)
that needs to be chosen manually along with a main WebStart option.
