Hello all,
Very happy to note that the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has joined the OERu Network. With the financial assistance of the European Commission and the Hewlett Foundation, UNESCO is assisting NOUN to transform all 1,600+ courses into open-licensed CC BY SA OERs and to develop open-licensed MOOCs to increase access to high-quality education to the 1m Year 12 students who pass university entrance exams annually but did not make it into a university.
Starting slow and steady, the NOUN OER-MOOC Portal features courses in ODT (for editing), PDF (for portability), and ePub (for mobile friendly reading). NOUN has formed a dedicated OER Unit that’s being led by the dynamic Dr Jane-Frances Agbu with critical support from the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Vincent Tenebe.
Please share this announcement among your OER network.
Regards,
Abel
