Modal synthesis/ physical modeling?

I have no idea what the technical constraints of the 301 are but would it be possible to have a physical modeling synthesis unit?

Not trying to compare with any other products specifically - just curious if the processing power of the 301 could be harnessed for this purpose.

SO MUCH YES for this suggestion! I personally think that this is one type of synthesis that is still yet to be really explored so far, I would love to see a model of a piano or guitar or human voice for instance.

I imagine that the programming of a model like this would take a long time - maybe this would be something that a third party could develop in the future?

I use six samplers playing the harmonic series n, 2n, 3n etc. to make an additive oscillator which is just like the modal synthesis description here: https://ccrma.stanford.edu/~bilbao/booktop/node14.html

If you ran adsrs into every osc, i reckon you could make a start at physically modeling sounds
