Hello Ocropus team,
I tried installing ocropus 0.5.4 on ubuntu-12.04

cloned using hg clone -r ocropus-0.5.4 https://code.google.com/p/ocropus/

installed using ./ocrinst packages
then ./ocrinst install
./ocrinst dl

No error reported

when i do ocropus tests/testpage.png
it goes into hang on reaching ocropus-lattices
Any help will be appreciated.
Previously i had installed and used ocropus-0.4.4 on ubuntu 10.04 without any problem. It was superfast and error free for my needs.

BTW i am not alinux expert but if anyone could guide me where and what to look for to solve the hang issue, i can do so.

Thank you

It could be that you're running out of memory or just have a slow machine; the first time around, in version 0.5.4, it computes some fairly costly data structures (inside the FLANN library).  In the upcoming version, FLANN has been replaced and loading models is much faster now.

Thank You Tom. Added 1GB ram to my machine (total 2GB). It works now i.e. the machine doesnot hang now. But there seems to be some issue with the linerecongniser. I am opening a new topic for the same.

Thank you,
