distributed map function on lists using async and bin_prot

Hello,

As I am a great fan of the parmap library (https://github.com/rdicosmo/parmap),
in order to get me started with async and bin_prot, I'd like to
try writing a function to distribute computations (List.map).

Does it sounds like a feasible thing?

I'm open to pointers to inspiring source code.

The final goal would be to be able to combine
distributed computations with parallel ones.
Lilke with the MPI and OpenMP couple in the C world.
