Hello,

This is a joint announcement from NW.js maintainers (Roger & Kevin).

The NW.js project has been supported (and will be continuously
supported) by Intel with full time from Roger. And I have been working
in partime. Due to more demand from users we decided to launched a
campaign to add more time from me, as well as supporting the growing
cost of infrastructure:

NW.js needs your support because demand has been growing significantly.
There are still many more feature requests and bug fixes we need to
focus on, including:

- More native GUI features
- Better infrastructure to support more build flavors.
- Keep updated with Chromium and Node updates
- Support more features from Chromium browser.
- All money raised will go to supporting and growing NW.js.

Thanks!

Hi Kevin,
Tell you what-- you tell me how much you want to fix nwworkingdir.  If it's a reasonable amount, then once you've gotten it to work I'll put that same amount toward the bounty of your choice.

Well, since its monthly I've started with a small amount of 1$/month, with the community of people you have... even with that you should be able to make it.
If I see its not, I may make it bigger.

Good luck guys, and keep the good work.

I know, but the objective is set to a monthly amount, which make sense, so I prefered to contribute there.

I have contributed $250 on behalf of Scirra Ltd.

We build Construct 2 which uses NW.js to publish our HTML5 games to desktop. It generally works very well for this, but since Chrome 38 there have been some serious issues with v-sync/frame scheduling inherited from Chromium. Due to this most of our users are still using NW.js v0.10.5, based on Chromium 35. As far as I can tell this issue is very likely solved in Chromium 45, but NW.js has not updated to that version yet. I know Chromium 45 is still beta, but I hope this contribution helps NW.js keep up to late with the latest Chromium versions as they come out.

Hi Kevin,
Have you looked at this at all?

Thanks,
Jonathan
