Hello
Trying to create a 'cataog' using autocrat.
I have a template set up in GDocs which is a grid of 10 boxes with references set inside them.
Then I have a 10 column Gsheet (with headers as references). In this sheet there are 10 rows.

When I use autocrat to merge - it does work but it produces a page per row rather than one box.
Is there anyway for it to populate each box rather than a page of 10 boxes per row?

Thanks.

Phil,

You would have to have 100 merge tags to do what you want.  You want ten rows at a time to go on a page.  You need a merge tag for each cell. Ten columns times ten rows = 100 merge tags.

There is a process that I helped Jennifer Scott with to do something like that.

This is the first time something has been in the G+ Community that I want to share.  I used Snag-it to capture the content using a Gsuite account.  My comments were removed from G+ because they were posted using a consumer account.  You might be able to just watch the video in the 3rd link.

Video explaining the formulas.  You should be able to create the 100 merge tags for every ten rows without too much difficulty.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Joe,

You absolute STAR! Followed the processes posted, and although I didn't need it all, it really helped put the gdocs template and ghseets forumulas together.
Whole process is up and running and saved me hours of work!

Thank you so much :)
