Hello,

I am currently working on LTE and I am interested in simulating scenarios where S1 handover should be used.
Up to now, I think S1 handover is not implemented in the LENA project.

I thus have a few questions:
- does the LENA team plan to implement S1 handover? If yes, when this functionality is planned to be available?
- are there any existing contributions to do so?
- has someone any ideas on how to do that if nothing exists yet? In case I contribute, some help and/or guidance will be welcome.

Regards,

Hi Julien,

I think I already replied a similar question in another thread. Anyway, to summarize:

no we don't plan to do this, at least not in the short term

there is none, at least that I know of

I suggest to look at the 3GPP specs for the sequence diagram of the S1-based handover, look at the LENA docs for the primitives that are missing and implement them, together with the necessary missing logic at the eNB and at the MME.

Hi,

Have you implemented S1 based handover? Or is there any one who have info about S1-based handover implementation in lte ns3?

Thanks
