Unreadable/unmountable CDs with SuSE 9.2

There are certain CDs (in particular, the full set of 100 CDs of the
Digitized Sky Survey) that are not readable (in fact, they cannot even be
mounted) on SuSE 9.2 (kernel 2.6.8-24.13-smp). When trying to mount, the
kernel complains with the message:
kernel: Logical zone size(512) < hardware blocksize(2048)

These CDs are readable without problems on SuSE 9.0. Anybody has a clue?
