NorCal FLL - News and upcoming FIRST activities for the
next few months and we are starting to gear up for upcoming 2016
season.
1. 2016 Animal Allies FLL Team Registration opens in early May
2. March 24-26 :: Help needed at FIRST Tech Challenge West Super-Regional Championship in Oakland. Email ftcvol...@playingatlearning.org if you can come out and volunteer one or more days.
2b. Are you able to bring a team to demo at FTC West on Friday or Saturday, email f...@playingatlearning.org
2c. Not able to volunteer or demo, come anyway and watch the action. The 72 competing teams from across the western US (and beyond) are truly world class and it is going to be an exciting event - learn more at http://ftcwest.org/visitors/
2d. There will be an exciting grant announcement for our need-based FTC & FLL teams announced at the Closing Ceremony at FTC West on Saturday. Not able to join us - details will get posted at norcalfll.org in early April.
3. May 20-22 Bay Area Maker Faire demos! Help needed - We are coordinating FLL demos/exhibit
4. Weekly FLL game challenge Youth Summer Camps at The Play Space in San Jose starting 6/22.
5. Thinking about Hosting a FLL Qualifier in November? Email me at f...@playingatlearning.org - let me know if we need to schedule an info session in April or May. Overview Summary
6. Thursday, June 16: Looking for 1 or 2 FLL teams to demo at INTEL Santa Clara on Thursday 10:30-2:30 (lunch provided). Would like a team that has a connection to an Intel employee if possible. Email me at f...@playingatlearning.org if you are able to do this.
7. August 3rd: Mark your calendars for rookie coaches or mentors new to FLL: Saturday 9am to noon: Introduction to FLL Coaching & LEGO Mindstorms Overview. Sign up link coming soon on www.norcalfll.org site
8. 2015 championship rubrics have NOT been mailed yet - will start reviewing / mailing after FTC West Super-Regional (early April). See #9 why...

. We rely on donations from individuals like you and the companies you work for
. We currently have no program or event sponsors - we need your help! Sponsor info
. We could support you and your team so much better & do more if we had more financial support to bring on a staff person
