On Monday, June 21, 2010 at approximately 4:45AM, police
responded to the 3300 block of Orleans Avenue to an incident regarding
an aggravated battery by stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, who sustained a
stab wound to the left arm. The victim stated his friend, a Hispanic
male, with blue eyes named “Winston” stabbed him after a minor
argument. A detailed description of “Winston” was provided. One
witness was on the scene.
After a canvass of the area, police located and detained a
subject matching the perpetrators description, identified as Winston
Rodriguez H/M 1-16-1988, near the intersection of Iberville and N.
Genois Street. A positive identification was established. Rodriguez
was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.
