Doomsday in 2012 then ?

There is at the moment a broad international consensus (e.g. between
American, South-Korean, German, and Danish intelligence services) that
Doomsday will probably occur during the period May-October 2012 as a
result of one or the other kind of unrest along the Syria-Iran axis
with ensuing spillover, military retaliation against or projection
into Israel.

This idea is among others premised upon the fact that the Middle-East
tension has never been higher than today since the Yom Kippur War in
1973.
