Summons-Open Container - Within Town Park

On 6/8/19 at 7:58p.m., S/O Raul Couce was present at Memory Park and was assisting with traffic control for the Newton Day Festival.  While present at the park, S/O Couce observed a male and female engaged in a heated verbal dispute and intervened and separated the parties.

 

Subsequent investigation revealed that one of the parties, specifically Christina Collins, age 30, of Water Street, Newton was in possession of an opened container of vodka.

 

As a result, she was issued a town ordinance summons charging her with a violation of

200-2b(15)  Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in the Town Park.

 

Collins was released pending an upcoming court appearance in Newton Municipal Court.
