M.V. Stop/Arrest - Possession of CDS (Marijuana), Paraphernalia

On 5/26/17 at 8:01p.m., Ptl. Mahir Kaylani stopped a 2015 white Dodge Dart for speeding on Main Street.  The vehicle was being operated by Cheyanne Kowalski, age 20, of Andover, N.J.

 

Subsequent investigation revealed that Kowalski had approximately 2 grams of marijuana, two multi-colored glass smoking pipes and a marijuana grinder inside the vehicle.  As a result, Kowalski was taken into custody, processed and charged with the following:

 

N.J.S. 2C:35-10a(4)  Possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana (Disorderly Persons)

N.J.S. 2C:36-2         Possession of Drug Paraphernalia  (Disorderly Persons)

39:4- 98                   Speeding

39:4-49.1                  Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle

39:3-75                     Improper Safety Glass

 

Kowalski was released on her own recognizance.
