On 2/17/19 at 3:45p.m., Ptl. Edward Sperling stopped a motor vehicle on Main Street for a speeding violation. While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, (identified as Tina Mahboub, age 38 of Branchville, NJ and her passenger, Felix Torres, age 32, also of Branchville, NJ),
Ptl. Sperling smelled the odor of marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle. Investigation revealed heroin and marijuana were present within the vehicle.
As a result, the pair were charged with the following offenses:
N.J.S. 2C:35-5A(1) Possession of CDS (Heroin) with intent to distribute (3rd Degree) (331 bags).
N.J.S. 2C:35-5B(3) – Possession of CDS (Heroin) with intent to distribute (3rd Degree)
N.J.S. 2C:35-7B – Possession of CDS (Heroin) with intent to distribute within 100 feet of a school zone (3rd Degree)
N.J.S. 2C:35-35-10A(1) – Possession of C.D.S (Heroin). – 3rd Degree
N.J.S. 2C:35-10A(4)- Possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana – (Disorderly Persons)
Mahboub was also issued summonses for the following traffic offenses:
39:4-98 – Speeding
39:3-33 – Improper Plates
39:4-74 – View Obstruction
39:4-49. 1 – Possession of CDS in Motor Vehicle
Both Mahboub and Torres were lodged in the Sussex County jail for the above offenses.
