Burglary/Theft

On 5/29/18 at 8:18p.m., Newton Police received a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle on the campus of the Sussex County Community College in which $80.00 cash was stolen from inside the center console.
An investigation by the Newton Police (with the assistance of the college’s security department) led to the actor being identified as Christopher Aro, age 18, of High Street, Newton. As a result, Aro was arrested on 5/31/18 and charged with the following offenses.
N.J.S.2C:18-2A(1) Burglary (3rd Degree)
N.J.S. 2C:20-3a Theft of Moveable Property (Disorderly Persons)
Aro was released pending his appearance in Sussex County Superior Court. However, the money was not recovered at this time.
