I really get enough mail about things I care about to be totally
uninterested in mail about things I don't care about. Can't we arrange
the mailing lists so that only those who WANT the CCA stuff get it?

1. Turn off the forwarding back to Gosling's list. Unfortunately, this
means that people on that list would then lose a lot of relevant
messages.
2. The people on Gosling's list could just ignore news about other
EMACSes. This is what has been happening up till now, and since the
articles about other EMACSes number only about a couple or so a month,
most people haven't minded.
3. Make the articles that go from the newsgroup back to Gosling's list
go through some sort of filter. For example, this filter could discard
all articles that have CCA anywhere in their subject line. I assume it
would be up to the person who arranged the forwarding in the first place
to implement this solution.
