Hey all!
Just wanted to share the video of my first clock. This is just a prototype, so any comments are welcome. Changes for the PCB are still possible.

Hope you guys like it!

Nice! Will you be offering kits and / or completely assembled units?

Looks good! Have ypu concidered using the dots on the tubes too? Having something like this scrolling effect http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdXG1ZsKJR8

I will probably have both kits and assembled units, still don't know.

The dots were unfortunately impossible, as all the pins on the uC are used. Maybe I will figure something out in the future to add the neon lamps as dots.

The clock can also be set to work in both 24h or am/pm mode, as well as changing the date format, and of course fahrenhein instead of celsius degrees for temperature. But these have to be pre-set while programming the controller.

Nice work Imbanon! I rememer you initially had 2 tubes parallel
through 1 anode resistor. Did you modify that afterwards or you still
use it that way?

Very nicely done with a feature rich options set !

I would be interested in multiple blank PCBs.

Please offer these in addition to kits, Thanks !

There are no more shared anode resistors :) Now each tube has its own resistor. It is still a 2x3 mux design

I still don't have a finished PCB, as there are still some changes to be made. I will make sure to let you guys know as soon as the product is finished :)

My features wish list would be complete if you can add a hygrometer with an additional IN-19 tube to show deg C/F and %. I have not seen a Nixie clock with such a combination yet. Here's hoping you can incorporate them into the current design or a future release.

Looks good, glad to see someone else designing a clock.
Ok so you cant add a colon, I'd make the section of the display flash
so the user knows what they are setting.
I've tried using a motion sensor to switch on the tubes when a room is
occupied thats a good idea, my idea was just a condenser mic that
'listened' for sound, it doesnt really matter if the tubes get powered
up occaisionally by background noise.
I've been messing with the idea of using pwm to create a crossfade
effect on the seconds and mins/hours, it looks really good esp on a
lighthouse clock I've worked on.
If your using an avr you can have the chip generate the pwm to switch
the chopper transistor to generate the ht, I looked into this but the
pic chips I use have too low an output freq on the pwm channel.
MSF input is also a good idea, toom me a while to get that to work,
you have to wait 2 minutes every time a change to the code is made.
