I just got a new catalog from Ramse. Among the featured products are
a series of 6-digit and 4-digit Nixie cloks, available as kits or
assembled from about $300 to about $400 (seems high to me, but I paid
$1 each when I got my B-7971s). The most interesting thing to me is
the GPS-disciplined option for $50.

Order from ramsey with caution. It takes them an unbelievably long time
to get around to shipping anything (think on the order of a month)..
their shipping rates are very expensive, and their kits often come with
incorrect parts.
The good news is that they'll work with you to send you the right parts,
the bad news is that it often takes several tries before they get the
part right. :S

I have purchased a bunch of various products from AliExpress
(www.aliexpress.com), which is a Chinese version of Amazon.

Found when searching the following Nixie-stuff: Have no clue of quality
however.

Clock kit:

Those clocks are available in kit form for less money from the designer if you search the web hard enough....;-)

The "Nixie Clock Kit" uses VFD tubes.

Their description of "Very Funny Case" is funny indeed. )))

You may be right.
I was just happy to found the stuff as I a week ago found some unusual
amplifier tubes.

Yan Zeyuan is well known for his beautiful nixie clocks, especially the one with the incredible PCB design which he had so much trouble with someone cloning. I love his work.

I cant even think how much would clock with six CD47 tubes cost?!

I wonder if he will sell his 6 tube CD47 clock?

My best guess with CD47 tubes going for close to $1500 each when one becomes for sale every year or two That's a $10,000 clock.

But keep in mind that a set of six working CD47 being sold at one singular time is much rarer than six individually collected CD47 over, say, a couple of years. That is why people selling these clocks can almost ask for any price ;-)
