myOHClient setup - missing items, notifications and event logs

I have successfully connected my.openHAB to my local openHAB instance and it is showing online.

However, I currently can't see any items in my.openhab.org and think it may be because I am not using the default sitemap or perhaps because I have many .items files.  Also I only have the generic openHAB notifications and events. 

 
Today at 7:21 AMopenHAB is online

Not sure.  Maybe I am missing the the purpose of these pages.  

I can go to https://my.openhab.org/openhab.app?sitemap=home   which works and I can navigate and employ the web ui.

Starting to think these pages are the UI for cloud persistence....

John,

As we respect our users' privacy no data will be sent from openHAB to the cloud by default.
You need to configure persistence in openHAB to start sending data - https://my.openhab.org/docs/persistence
Sending data to the cloud will be required if you decide to use related cloud features, like IFTTT integration!

Understood.  Thanks.  Sorry.  I've enabled cloud persistence and I now see the events and items.  Now I can go play with IFTTT.
