hyperlinks in notes

how do i get hyperlinks to other apps to work ?
For example, using Ultra Recall, links are specified as ur://C:/UltraRecall/file.urd?item=1000
If specified like above it does not underline it. If I add "\\" before the link it underlines it but if i click on this, there is a long pause followed by "Could not execute \\ur://C:/U... The specified path was not found".
