I understand what you are suggesting. When I face a similar situation
I don't -remember- to go close the task later. Face it, if I could
remember all the stuff I've got to do, I wouldn't be using MLO. So in
the circumstance you described, I would hit the link, alt-tab back to
MLO, close the task, then alt-tab back to the linked file.
Out would new a good thing to simplify this process. But I would
suggest defining it as a new, unassigned shortcut or hotkey so people
who prefer a simpler interface can be spared dealing with this.
And I would give this a low priority.
