All:
I’m a relative newcomer to MLO and longtime GTD follower. Conceptually I “get” MLO very well, but practically I’m struggling to use it much beyond the basics. The “help” information is descriptive but without much context. For example, it took me a while to figure out the “inbox” function because the word isn’t even listed in the help index.
I’ve joined the google group as a way of picking up more background but quite honestly, most of the topics are about highly specific and fairly complex issues.
My question is, is there a tutorial or a “MLO for dummies” type resource that anyone can recommend. I’ll keep slogging away to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of MLO but it would sure be helpful to find shortcuts.
Thanks much.
Gary
Thanks, that makes me feel better for not knowing I can star a bunch of tasks at once :)
The thought *has* crossed my mind. I've done technical writing in the past. Didn't someone here mention they might write an MLO book, though? I can't remember who.
I'll ponder it more, I promise...

I vote that Lisa should write one and put it up for sale on Amazon.

A.
Thanks for responding Elizabeth and for the offer to answer basic questions. In general the questions I have are perhaps a level above basic, but not much more. Honestly though, I don’t believe it’s fair to others to use this forum for “basic” questions. Our inboxes are over-filled as it is. By and large the discussions I see in this group are advanced, as I think is appropriate, which I guess is why it’d be helpful to have a more detailed resource to continue developing my MLO knowledge at my own pace.
If Lisa writes her book I promise to be the first to purchase one for my own use and others in my office I’m encouraging to use MLO.
Thanks again.
