Is there a way to to search through only the Projects (without having
to apply a Filter and a View first) from the Outline window?

Perhaps some way to include a flag in the search?

Then we need to add to the search all the options we have at the
moment in views (30+) with different AND/OR combinations.

Why only Projects? :)

I think you can apply a view first (with any conditions!) and then
search in the Current view.

If I have 10 current projects and 100 future projects, and 200 old
archived projects in MLO and want to edit an old project (add a new
task, review what I did/wanted to do) it would be very nice to be able
to search for that project. Hence the need to search ONLY for
projects.

However, your suggestion of "Search Current View" will do the trick,
it's just a lot of extra steps (Click on To-Do,click search, click
All Tasks>Current View, click search again).

  1. Click the To-Do tab
  2. Select a View
  3. in upper left (right below menu) slick the drop down and select CURRENT VIEW
  4. Search (Control-F) and it'll only search within the current view (I created a Projects view)
