I think the equivalent on the desktop is to have multiple data files, and then you would sync each one to a different cloud file and then that to a different profile.

In the desktop version, there is a grayed out "branch sync" under "advanced", so I'm guessing that if that is implemented, you could use a profile for Work tasks and a profile for Home tasks, for example, and have them live in the same datafile on the desktop, but as far as I know you can't do that now.

I am a brand new (still trial) MLO user. I was a long-time Bonsai user and am thrilled to find something as close to its capability.

I am trying to understand the Profile concept on the Android software for the product. Apparently it is not part of the desktop version because I cannot find anything in its manual that explains it. If there is another document somewhere that explains it that would be great. When I search Google Groups it is searching all groups and that is pretty unhelpful.

Thanks!

Profile = File, like Lisa said.

I don't know how you worked in Bonsai, I too am a long time user just switching, but the more time I spend with these kinds of programs, the fewer profiles/files I use.  I used to live out of one, but then I couldn't rely on my Palm syncing consistently.  Eventually, it wouldn't sync consistently with my files separated into work/personal/hobby.  Moving to MLO now, I'm back working on consolidating into one file/profile.  By fall when the new school year starts, (I'm a teacher) I'll be back into one.  I'm looking forward to that.
