Dear Neighbors, below is a list of services and contact information that are offered through Metro Public Works. Of special note is Bulk Item Pickup:
Curbside Bulk Item Pick-up & Dead Animal Collection
Dead Animal collection on Metro-maintained streets and roadways is available to all Davidson County residents including satellite cities. Dead animals on private property should be placed at the curb or roadside for pickup. Call (615) 880-1000 for more information or to report a dead animal for pickup. Dead animals on the interstate or state highways can be reported to TDOT by calling (615) 350-4405.
Metro Public Works and the Davidson County Sheriff's Office have partnered to offer bulk item and white goods collection services. To request a bulk item pickup, please call (615) 862-8750.
In addition to the guidelines below, there is a limit of no more than twelve (12) items per address and no more than once every 30 days.
All items must be placed at the curb or near the edge of the street. The Sheriff's Office will not pick up items in alleys or on private property, including apartment and condominium complexes. To place a Bulk Item pick up request, please contact Public Works Customer Service by calling (615) 862-8750. Place your items out by the curb then call with a list of the items to request a pick up. The Sheriff's Office will schedule your pick-up within 1-5 business days after your request is made.
