I want to thank everyone that came out Saturday to help plant cherry trees on Riverside Memorial Boulevard. It was a perfect day to plant. We are pleased to have the Japan American Society of Tennessee as our premier benefactor of Yoshino cherry trees and a few private donors to make it possible to have cheery trees to plant. And our host for this event, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cumberland Branch, for the members of this faith community in helping plant the trees and providing lunch for all our volunteers. Eric Stawicki with Arbor Springs Lawn Care and Landscaping, who helped deliver the trees to the planting site and for helping with the planting. He has gone beyond the call of duty. Thanks Eric. And my dear friend, Randall Lantz with Metro Parks for getting the trees for our benefactors. You're the greatest. He works tirelessly to make Nashville beautiful.

Please mark your calendar for next year’s planting. It will probably be the 1st Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Best wishes,

Tony
