I am using Thunderbird 45.1.0 with Linux Mint (Debian Edition).

Every time that I launch Thunderbird, I get the following warning window:

Unresponsive script
chrome://messenger/content/folderPane.js:534

FolderPane is an add-on that I had installed some time ago but then
removed. Evidently, not all the components got removed automatically...

Well, the file folderPane.js is part of Thunderbird itself too. I guess
the add-on just added some functionality to it.

Looks like Thunderbird is iterating over all your folders to show its index…

OP, tb, is *assuming* there is a relationship between the js and the
addon. But there is no relationship. folderPane.js simply is a common
file that gets called out in the Unresponsive Script dialog.

The cause of the issue is somewhere else. Begin by starting Thunderbird
in safe mode.

Started TB in Safe Mode. Warning window still pops up...

I seem to have found what caused the script problem: I had too many
unread messages in each of the newsgroups I subscribe to.

I subscribe to many newsgroups and had not marked any of them as read in
a long while.

Marking all of them as read seems to have solved the problem.
