lightning add-on for Thunderbird cannot update changes to an existing event. "Processing message failed. Status: 80004005."

Once i accept an invitation to a meeting if the organizer change the time or date of the invitation i cannot accept it. I get: "Processing message failed. Status: 80004005"

Have anybody experienced the same problem?

Yes I have the same problem with event updates that does not process and returns this error message.

I am using a google calendar (via Lightning) in thunderbird.

I get it to work by first deleting the calendar entry, then process the new event update.

I am also having the problem. I had a recurring meeting (originated from an Outlook user) and received a change to tomorrow's occurrence. I made the mistake of deleting the entire series and then re-accepting the change, and I ended up with just the exceptional occurrence, with the rest of the meeting series deleted.

I had the same problem. The reason was, that the same meeting already existed in calendar on another date.
I deleted the old record and then, there was no problem any more.

BINGO! That worked. It shouldn't have to be the case, but that worked. Wonder what's gonna happen if it's an on-gong appointment. Thank you.
