[Learning Area] Progress status

Hello drivers :)

This is the first status e-mail regarding the "Learning Area" project (and
it will be a little longer than usual). This formal e-mail will be send to
the mdn-drivers mailing list on a regular basis to inform you about the
progress of this project. I'm currently not sure about the exact frequency
of such report but it will be never less than once a month and never more
than once a week.

The project has just been kicked off:

- On the dev-mdc mailing list where all the discussions regarding that
project will take place :

- On WikiMo to record everything regarding the project (see the link
above)

As a first action, I'm currently writing a survey to gather some specific
feedback from the Mozilla community and, as much as possible, from
beginners in order to start building a concrete plan of what is required on
MDN to address beginners needs. The first answers to my kick off e-mail
demonstrate some high interest about the topic. A first early draft as been
send to Chris, Janet, Ali and Jean-Yves, I'm waiting for their feedback to
finish it up.

I also start gathering some of the work made last year by various members
of the team on that topic. If you see something missing, or know some
content I should be aware of, just let me know.

In order to make sure the project goes well, I draw a critical path to
define the necessary step to complete the project. In parallel, I defined
some metrics to measure the success of the project.

Could you review those two elements and tell me if you think something is
missing or inaccurate? This is a non-blocking action, if nobody answer, it
will be considered as a tacit agreement of the current content.
