Hi,

There appears to be a problem with the new MDN strings. After the German
translations were entered into Pontoon, the Web Status tool reports
„Error extracting data with msgfmt --statistics“ and it appears that
that’s not the only locale affected.

Could someone please take a look?

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael,

The problem is in the following string:
"The following documents will be permanently removed from the database.
This action cannot be undone. To cancel, press the "Back" button in your
browser."

Which contains \n at the beginning and at the end of the string. Let me fix
it for you in Pontoon.

Also adding Rob to fix the original string, which shouldn't contain any
blank spaces.

And filing a bug in Pontoon to do a better job at displaying blank lines.

Hi Matjaž,

Thanks, I thought all those whitespaces weren’t needed, so I removed
them in the translation.
