Hello Gaia,
As mentioned in today's Gaia weekly meeting, today is our official go-live day for automated Raptor performance tests. Two weeks ago during the Gaia meeting I gave an introductory presentation on its usage and benefits.
We are currently pending a subdomain change to host the Raptor dashboards, but in the meantime performance data is accumulating at
http://raptor-ui.divshot.io/. I will update the group once the subdomain name change is live.
Also available is documentation [1] for Raptor, which includes getting started, usage, information about the dashboards, as well as advanced information about writing tests and visualizing performance test data locally.
With the release of the Raptor tool and dashboards also comes the deprecation of test-perf and Datazilla. I will be working with a few individuals to put together a comparison between test-perf and Raptor so we have a baseline for cross-evaluation during this transition. The important thing to note though is that test-perf will no longer be used for gathering performance data, and Datazilla will no longer be used as our tool for visualization. In the next couple weeks I will be removing all references to the PerformanceTestingHelper and its events from Gaia apps.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible! If you have any questions, troubles running performance tests, deprecations, or you just want to tell that I'm awesome, please feel free to reach out to me in IRC in the #raptor channel.
