Latest gaia from master fails to come up on my unagi device

Hi Folks,
Am running into an issue where latest code from master gaia fails to come up on my device, it essentially remains stuck on the startup screen with message "Based on mozilla technology".

looking at the logs, here is the error message i see:

I have done a make reset-gaia as well instead of the usual make install-gaia, but that didn't help either.
Any idea, what am i missing?

I am also having trouble booting the system app both on the device and in nightly today.

Hmmm. Maybe not. With bug 851002, you won't even see the startup screen.

It seems to have been caused by bug 849988

Fabrice is looking into it, but I've backed out that commit until we figure
out what happened.
