Hi Hallvord,

Regarding our IRC conversation earlier today, it is my understanding
that you're working on the "arewecompatibleyet.com" website, which is
currently situated on people.mozilla.org (via a re-direct from our
Static cluster). As we discussed, people.m.o is not an appropriate
place to put production websites, so it's important that we get it set
up in a more robust capacity as soon as possible.

The first step is opening up a bug :
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Infrastructure%20%26%20Operations

Choose the appropriate WebOps component and then fill out the details as
normal; concerning the component, I suspect that this site would fall
into either Engagement or Community Platform (though your or your
manager may be a better judge than I).

Furthermore, this site may be a good candidate for placement on our new
PaaS service, though some restrictions do apply (especially if your app
collects any user data), so our security team will have to take a look.

When the bug has been set up, feel free to ping me on IRC with the bug
number, and I'll triage it and get the ball rolling right away.

When I previously set this up on people we said that we would revisit the site's hosting when usage grew. I don't think we've hit that point but we can get out ahead of this if that seems like a good idea.

I don't know the definition for either of these suggestions or why we would pick one over the other. Probably best to speak with Dan about this directly.

Again, I don't have a preference. So long as the site is online and Hallvord can easily make changes my requirements are met. Hallvord, perhaps you want to think about possible server side requirements for the site so that you can gain access to what you may need when making this change.
