Dear Mobilize US members,
I am looking for someone to participate in a short panel discussion on the question “What will we need to know to survive in the future and how will we learn it?”
The panel is part of a program of World Savvy (www.worldsavvy.org), through which public school students and teachers explore pressing global issues in their classrooms. In this school in the Bronx we are investigating sustainability in the Global Civilizations curriculum by examining the history of knowledge, what people throughout time have needed to know to survive, how they’ve learned it and what that means about our present moment.
The panel will feature an education reporter, a global education specialist, a current student and we hope someone with knowledge and expertise around the challenges we are facing as a planet.
I am hoping someone from this network will be able to help.
The panel audience will be 125 high school students. It will take place on Friday May 11th from 1:30 to 2:15 near the Pelham Parkway stop on the 5 and 2 trains. We can take care of travel expenses.
Anyone interested and available, please contact me as soon as possible.
Thank you for your time and all the work you do.
Best,
Daniel Carlton
