Some Employment Links for You

I am building a directory of links directly to the Careers or Jobs sections of - at first - computer industry employers, eventually to cover all kinds of jobs.

I'm presently doing this manually, as I work out techniques to ferret out the pages in a more-automated way.  I don't think I'll be able to have it completely automated, but I have some ideas as to how to find most of the pages, then quickly manually spot-check them, to reject bad matches.

I did this at first just for Santa Cruz County California, in 1997, when my employer Live Picture announced it would be moving from scenic Scotts Valley to what at the time was smog and traffic-infested San Jose.  I built up the page at first for myself, so I could find a local job - which I did - then to share it with my fellow employees who for the most part did not want to follow Live Picture in its move.

I built these links earlier this year.  As I mentioned in my previous post I am quite profoundly mentally ill.  As I built this list I was heading into what ultimately turned into florid bipolar mania.  I have quite a lot more links than these that are not yet posted.

For the most part I have linked to company homepages, the main page for their careers section (if any), and their contact page.

If you'd like your company listed, the best way to help me is to list your street or at least your postal address somewhere on your website.  More or less I will be doing boolean search operators with Zip or Postal Codes.

The index is on my website for now but I will eventually move it to its own domain.

I don't intend to profit directly from it.  I want it for myself to make it easier for me to find work, and provide it to you as a public service to the community.
