First off, CONGRATULATIONS! And a big thank you for the last four years of work.

So, I have imported my old deck into 2.0. I had already started using the :: method in my categories and that converted just fine to a tag hierarchy for those cards.

But I'm wondering how that hierarchy is managed now in 2.0, especially how I can group old tags into hierarchies. For example, there are a whole bunch of what are now tags, that I want to put under Narada::English. Is the only way to do this by going in one by one and renaming them, putting Narada::English:: in front of each tag? I tried dragging and dropping in the tag tree in the card browser but no luck.

Is there documentation about organizing other than this page?

Again, thanks for all the work.
BK

Hi,

Drag and drop is not yet implemented, but if you right-click on a tag
name (or even double click), you can edit that tag name and add the
prefix.

Cheers,

Peter

So, there's no way to do a bunch of different tags at the same time? Just one by one re-naming? I tried selecting several and then right clicking but then the only option is to delete.

Thanks again.

Select the cards you want to add a tag to in the card browser (you may filter out by searching ect.).
Right click on one of them
Select Add tags.

Select Add tags.

That didn't do what I wanted. It just added them as new tags(Which is not surprising since I selected "add tags.")

What I want to do is put several cards with dfferent tags under one tag in a hierarchy.

It seems that it is not really the case that tags can be organized into hierarchies. Rather that a single tag can be broken down into a hierarchy. I'm just trying to figure out the new system, not complaining.

For example, if you have a card tagged as xxx::yyy::zzz and another tagged as aaa:yyy::bbb, those yyy tags are not in any way related to each other. Correct?

At the moment not, no.

You can establish a relation though, if you want to. Just select all
xxx::yyy::zzz and aaa:yyy::bbb cards in the card browser and add a new tag
called yyy to all of them in one go.
