I haven't been to this site in quite a while - everything with my
Mnemosyne cards has been great and I've been studying and practicing
without any need for help. But, tonight I got curious and decided to
check in and see what might have popped up. Wow! A lot. The
website is different - looks real good. Something else new is that
Google groups is sending me to a Japanese site when I try to get to
Mnemosyne project users site. (I live in Japan but have my location
as USA since I want info in English) but for some reason Google wants
me to have Japanese! That's not your problem I
realize :-)......... Anyway, my question is, I'm happily using
version 1.2.2. Should I move to the new release?
Thanks for your thoughts.

I can't see why you shouldn't move to the newest version of mnemosyne. It's very stable and got lots of new features; still the user interface is simple like the 1.x version. You can continue to use mnemosyne like you did in 1.x if you like. Your card database and media will be imported automatically when upgrading. However if you decide to go back to 1.x after using 2.x for a while you can't import the learning progress you've made in the 2.x version.

Thanks. I'll give it a try.
