Hi
(On Win7, 64bit PC)

The tag functionality in Mnemosyne is powerful. I use it a lot to adjust  my cards to optimize learning process, e.g. I identify cards that I have problems with (lapses, easiness factor) and then decide: Should I
1) make card less ambiguous/ more didactical?
2) add extra card(s) to support learning?
3) make card easier, e.g. by providing a hint?
4) postpone learning of card until elementary knowledge is in place?

However in present solution this takes a long time:
1) In Browse window sorting by column takes long (10 - 15 seconds)
2) If editing a card, the system re-sorts to default (this also takes long. 5-10 seconds)
3) New sort (wait 10-15 seconds), edit next card, re-sort/ sort  etc

Ideally after sorting one should be able to go like page-down/ page up from one card to next, edit and continue with no waiting.

2) I can probably eliminate. Perhaps even 3) but that could require
major database rework. The 10 seconds in 1) I cannot do anything about,
I'm afraid, as that's purely sqlite running.

I'll add this to my medium term todo list.

Thanks!

Peter

The delays in sorting, resorting, and resorting again is why I don't even bother to sort in the browser. It significantly reduces the browser's value.
