Hi,

Please delete c:/users/Stefan/application data/mnemosyne/config, upgrade to 2.2a and try again.

Hi,

The file is called 'config' and is in a directory called 'mnemosyne'.
This directory itself is inside a hidden directory, so you might need to
configure your file explorer to show hidden files.

The exact name of the directory depends on your Windows version. On Win
XP, it's something like C:\documents and settings\timwood\Application
Data. For later versions, try C:\users\timwood\Application Data\Roaming

Good luck!

yes sir..!!

thanks a lot, Peter!

file deleted, upgraded to 2.2a. Starting 2.2a showed no cards, but 2.1 is working again and so do all 1000something cards - and the best: learning data has been conserved! thank you!

one more question: how can I safe the acivated cards including learning data (my computer may brake down sometime..)? The format .cards ain`t support this option?

best

I really recommend upgrading to 2.2a, otherwise you will get the problem
again in the future.

The upgrade should work out of the box, but if you run e.g. Mnemosyne
from a USB key or a non-standard location, you might need to explicitly
do a 'file - open' to open the correct database.

dear Peter

that was a misunderstanding, my english lacks..

2.2a works perfectly - out of the box!

backuping:
I`ve copied the default-.....db to an external data storage.  And if I`ve understood correctly, there are my learning data included?
