I wanted to know if there are plans to allow users to import not only tab delimited files but also files with lines that have bracket delimited cloze-deletion entries mixed with lines that have tab-separated q/a pairs?

I just noticed the new plugin manager in Linux and that Mnemosyne in Linux does not install the cloze plugin, but I'm still working on finding the actual cloze-deletion plugin.

OK I got the plugin working ... almost. From earlier: "Added a small feature: in cloze card types, you can now provide hints, e.g. [cloze:hint] will show [hint] in the question as opposed to [...]."

The hint is not working for "In a relational database, [a relation] is [a table] with [columns and rows:... and ...]." but is instead displaying: "In a relational database, [a relation] is [a table] with [columns and rows:... and ...].". Instead of showing the hint when appropriate Mnemosyne is showing it at the opposite time of that according to the preview and in practice. Is that fixed in RC1?

I'm not sure that I'm understanding you right, but your example seems to be working fine in the latest 2.0.1 RC1.

Indeed. Make sure you are not running 2.0. If you have still problems, perhaps
it would be a good idea to post a screenshot and explain how that's different
from the behaviour you expect.

Kind regards,

Files with lines consisting to mixed card types are not planned, but I do plan
on extending the txt import such that you can choose the card type and how
each column maps to each field.

Vore for it here:

general/suggestions/2920631-add-card-type-to-mnemosyne-import-export

For the moment, you can still import them as 1 sided cards, and convert them
to cloze cards inside Mnemosyne.

That's great news!
